How to Make a Mobile - Dealing with Paint Overspray

In today's 1-minute video mobile-making tip, you're going to learn how to deal with paint overspray on the arms of your mobile. 

I use a special spray paint (Belton Molotow Premium) created for graffiti artists on my mobiles. It allows me to get amazing colors that are durable, inside and out. 

One of the issues that I have to contend with is overspray - paint that ends up spattering on the arms of the mobile in addition to the blades themselves. 

With a bit of trial and error over the years, I've come up with a three-stage process that works well for me. It includes painter's paper, a razor blade, and 220-grit sandpaper.

Note: I also spray my mobiles in a homemade paint booth and use a full-face respirator. I'll be sharing a video on how to make your own paint booth and spraying techniques soon.
