On acceptance

“But what if I don’t want to know the answer?” asked rabbit.

“My dear,” raven smiled, “often the question *is* the answer.”

Thoughts while making

WHO are you without your scripts? Without your stories. About others. About yourself. About them. About us.

WHY do you resist? Change. Growth. What is. What was. Who you want to be.

WHAT moves you? When you allow yourself to truly feel. To hope. To dream. To remember. What you once wanted.

WHEN was the last time you _______? Cried. Laughed. Slowed down. Sped up. Held yourself.

WHERE will you find _____? Peace. Joy. Inspiration. Truth. Quiet. Love. Tenderness. Understanding.

HOW do you want to feel? Today. Tomorrow. Next month. Next year. At the end of your days.

I’ve been driving a lot lately. Traveling each weekend to and from Bend, OR. About three to three and a half hours each way. Seven hours round trip. 35+ hours over the past month.

The reason is unimportant, but I can say: it hasn’t been for pleasure.

It’s been fascinating to watch my thoughts on these drives. Unsteady – and often unsettling – loops not so nearly predictable as the yellow lane lines flashing by mile after mile on black asphalt.

Yesterday, those lines felt like some sort of Morse code running down the center of the road. Of me.

.-- .- -.- . / ..- .--.

The message? “Wake Up!”

Who. Why. What. When. Where. How.

.-- .- -.- . / ..- .--.

Who? Why? What? When? Where? How?

.-- .- -.- . / ..- .--.

Who! Why! What! When! Where! How!

Can you allow yourself to ask one of these questions today? Remembering to be gentle, to be kind to yourself.
